It is with deep sorrow that we share the news about the sad demise of Prof. M. Gopinath.  Prof. M. Gopinath died on 25^h July 2019 in Bangalore.   He was 89.

Prof. M. Gopinath hails from Malappuram, born to U.K. Nair and  Meempat Lakshmi Amma on  July 15,1930. He joined the college as a faculty member in the Dept. of Mathematics, Farook College on 30-06-1952 and retired as Professor and HoD of the Dept. of Mathematics on 31-03-1986. He did his M.Sc. from Loyola College, Madras

He was the chairman of Board of Studies UG and PG for Kerala University and Calicut University. He had written a Text Book in Mathematics for Pre degree

Prof. M. Gopinath is survived by his son C.K. Jithendran (Software Engineer, Bangalore)
